KIMS Cancer Center

KCC is a joint venture of Kerala Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), Asia’s leading tertiary care hospital and Reliance Medical Resources Inc, a reputed health care organization based in the United States. The facility aims to provide high-quality cancer care including preventive, medical, surgical and radiation oncology by using latest technology and treatment protocols.

Minister Anoop Jacob seeks tobacco free world through student groups

Minister for Food and Civil Supplies Mr.Anoop Jacob expressed the need for students to create a tobacco free world and to be role model for anti tobacco campaigns.He inaugarated the state level Cancer Prevention Group(CPG),formed by the KIMS Pinnacle Cancer Center in association with Lourde Matha care to fight against cancer.The Cancer prevention group will motivate school and college students to create public awareness to stop tobacco usage and thereby decreasing the impacts of cancer in the society.The inaugration was held at Nirmala Bhavan School and prizes for the winners of anti tobocco painting competition was distributed by playback singer Mr.Vidhu Pratap. Rev.Fr.Sony Mundundackal,Director of Lourde Matha Care, Dr.M.I.Sahadulla Chairman and Managing Director KIMS Group, Mr.E.M.Najeeb Executive Director KIMS hospital, Sr.Liza Maliakal, Principal Nirmala Bhavan school, Sr.Meritta, Dr.Jayaprakash Madhavan, Dr.T.K.Padmanabhan, Dr.Kesavan Nair were also present during the inaugration.This program also featured an exbition with paintings of anti tobacco usage by school children and cultural program by the students of Nirmala Bhavan school followed.

Dr Jayaprakash Madhavan gets recognition from Indian Cancer Congress

Dr. Jayaprakash Madhavan, Head of Cancer Care, KIMS gets recognition from Indian Cancer Congress at the National Conference held at New Delhi. His extensive contributions towards treatment, academics and research in the field oncology has lead to this recognition. He received this year’s Fellowship of Indian College of Radiation Oncology (FICRO) Award from Indian Cancer. Dr. Jayaprakash Madhavan was the sole awardee from Kerala in this years edition of Fellowship of Indian College of Radiation Oncology (FICRO) Award.
