Dr Jayanand Sunil did his MBBS from Trivandrum Medical College, MS (General Surgery) from Coimbatore Medical College, MCh (Surgical Oncology) from the prestigious Cancer Institute (WIA), Adyar, Chennai, has various other academic accomplishments including Fellowship in Hepatobiliary surgery & liver transplantation from Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Taiwan.

He had training in PIPAC at Chaim Sheba Medical Center, Tel Aviv, Israel. His expertise is mainly in abdominal cancers including gastrointestinal and gynaecological cancers (cancers of the cervix, ovary, uterus), Breast cancers, HIPEC, PIPAC, chest wall tumor resections and Peritoneal surface malignancies. He has over 25 publications in both International and National journals. He has trained MCh surgical oncology, DNB general surgery and DNB gynaecology students. Before joining KIMS Health, he was Professor of Surgical Oncology at Cancer Institute (WIA), Adyar, Chennai.

He has more than 18 years experience in surgical oncology and has about 14 years teaching experience in surgical oncology. He has affiliation with professional societies like Association of Surgeons of India (ASI), Indian Association of Surgical Oncology (IASO), International Hepatopancreaticobiliary association (IHPBA), International Society for the study of Pleura and Peritoneum. He has delivered orations in ASI, moderated panel discussions, delivered lectures and presented papers in both National and International conferences. He is a recipient of travel grants from both Japanese and Korean Hepatobiliary associations.
